I'm probably not the only one who likes to revisit that shit sometimes, but would rarely accept any of it into his music collection.
A couple days ago a snatch of music surfaced in my mind and I did the whole procedure of looking up the lyrics, then iterating on the search because the words are all so commonplace that I get 50 results for more popular bands.
Jacksoul - Can't Stop Loving You Or maybe "it", I've already forgotten.
It's nice to reevaluate this old bullshit that I got <span class="em">stockholm syndrome'd into liking back then. Some of it is actually good— I liked Jamiroquai's <span class="em">Virtual Insanity when that randomly emerged from my subconscious.
I still love a lot of videogame music from back then, maybe because I find it hard to classify as for any other reason.

Stunning and brave, lmao.
I find it hard to hate Hanson, though. They got such a hype backlash, even back then. They sucked, but I find it hard to say they're worse than, say, Len or most of the gorillion insipid, mass-produced acts that didn't reach their level of notability.
Maybe it's just the "Nickleback" effect where the hivemind gets a bug up its collective ass about a particular turd circling the cultural toilet, seemingly at random.
Here's another not worth remembering: <span class="em">Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen

Lately I've been picturing what a proper sequel to Toy Fighter would look like. I really enjoy the idea of a 1-on-1 Virtua Fighter clone where every character is the oddball one and design meshes as poorly as a shitty figure collection. Problem is, character design on the original game is pretty bad. I can only imagine what a game with a similar premise would look like if they hired competent artists to design the roster.
The hobby and figure market, including toys for children as opposed to toys for manchildren, is heterogeneous enough to land on plenty of different niches; sort of like how previous Tekken leads decided on unique and novel character design before Harada took over creatively starting in Tekken 4. It's a shame that fighting games did indeed go down the path of no-fun-allowed, tryhard character design faggotry instead of plain fun.

>no "make uninstall" command because that would offend the GNU community or something
>remove a fuckload of gcc binaries and libraries from /usr/local/
>now I can't link shit because ld somehow defaults to mold which needs stdc
>using $LD to try and switch to plain GNU ld or LLVM's lld does nothing, it's always muh mold and muh libstdc
>only solution seems to be to completely omit /usr/local/ from my $PATH, after which everything links like before

え?
I set up Fcitx with Jewgle's Mozc and configured a few keybinds there, それは難しいじゃないのよ。
Mozc is sadly the only real option for Nipponese input on Linux because all the other open sores Japanese IMEs are no longer updated.
